Goth Music Masterlist

About time, wasn't it, that I made a newer and more extensive list of "goth appropriate" music. Here you will find bands old and new from all around the world. It's difficult to define what "goth music" is exactly, is it a certain sound, or it is music goths like? The eternal question/online debate. So I've included both, loads of bands with the classic bleak goth rock or darkwave sounds, plus others that goths are known to like or you're likely to hear played in clubs or performed at festivals.

There's a lot of musical crossover in the "black scene" but I've tried to keep this list fairly genre-specific, thus excluding a lot of deathrock, post-punk, gothic metal, electro, shock rock, dark ambient, and so forth. I hope this list serves as a good starting point if you're looking for new stuff to get into. There's always more out there so feel free to leave a comment if there's another artist you'd like to mention. I've linked each one to Spotify where possible, otherwise Bandcamp or YouTube. Happy listening!

Fear Cult

Tilo Wolff of Lacrimosa

Sean Brennan of London After Midnight

Anna Varney Cantodea of Sopor Aeternus

Matthew Carl Lucian of Suspiria

  27. I made a Spotify playlist with all the bands that were on Spotify. It's called "Darkwave" and my Spotify is princessofpunk246. I was 12 when I chose the name. it's a little cringey but whatever.

  29. How about King Dude, Chelsea Wolfe, Kælan Mikla, Drab Majesty, Them Are Us Too? They are not genre specific but I’d say they are pretty goth-friendly. This list seems big so maybe I missed them but I thought I’d throw them out there for consideration!

  36. Just a little percent of bands at this level perform full time, and for this situation, might be more expert leaning. It's essential to likewise take note of that most of bands in this classification are more centered around themselves, which means, the show is about them, and not the crowd. buy followers for twitch
